GIA BIG 10CTW Glowing Green beryl Victorian style Vintage Large 14k ring
This item comes with GIA document/ please see last photo. This ring/gem was also professionally tested /appraised by local reputable GIA graduate gemologist. The gemologist said that if it would have more of a cold color it would be graded as emerald, but because it is warmer green, she graded/identified it as green beryl. She said, green beryls only called as emeralds if they have a particular shade (cold green, cold green bluish), if there is any warmth or yellow tint they can not be called Emeralds.

Her grading says one oval green beryl approx 17x13.8x7.72mm - 10CT and is medium light, very slightly grayish, sightly yellowish Green. The color is even with no fluorescence. The price is based on the gemologists evaluations as for today - please feel free to send me your offers! The stone is very transparent with lightly noticable jardins. Has very solid surface and also this type of the mounting is great for an emerald/beryls as it protects the stone edges from being chipped or damaged.

Also the band is very thick and heavy! The ring is in EXCELLENT condition and can be worn or gifted immediately.

The ring is approx size 9-9,5 and can be sized by a professional jeweler. It is made in Victorian style (the prongs look like it wouldve been made in the Victorian period, but it is vintage ring) and has no hallmarks. All photos are taken with natural sun light from the window (to show the glow). As you rotate it on the sun it glows!

So the ring will arrive with the Original GIA report and in a ring case so can be gifted immediately! A little info about green beryls (GIA source). Emerald is the green to greenish blue variety of beryl, a mineral species that also includes aquamarine as well as beryls in other colors.

Gem experts differ on the degree of green that makes one stone an emerald and another stone a less-expensive green beryl. Some people in the trade tend to give the name emerald to any green beryl colored by chromium. But to most gemologists, gemological laboratories, and colored stone dealers, it is more correct to call a stone green beryl when its color is "too light" for it to be classified as emerald.

Even among that group, however, there's a difference of opinion about what's considered too light. Unlike Rubies and Sapphires, Emeralds are never exposed to heat treatment to enhance color or clarity.

Instead, Emeralds are typically treated with oil or other "fillers". After many years of wear, you may wish to have your emerald re-oiled.
